TechShop Detroit is pleased to be the Metro Detroit area hub for the 2013 SpaceApps Challenge. We're setting up a weekend long Hack-A-Thon of epic proportions for April 20th and 21st inside of our 17,000 square foot, open to the public, DIY workshop and prototyping studio.

- Kick-off Pizza Party and Team Assembly Friday night, April 19th
- The 182 seat theater will be showing space themed movies all weekend!
- The popcorn machine will be thumping!
- The Vend-O-Matic is stocked with heavily caffeinated sweetened liquid innovation fuel (HCSLIF)
- We have a large room in the building, code-named Tranquility Base, for sleepy hackers to crash in their own sleeping bags
- Projectors and big screens will be set up around the shop to facilitate Skype portals and remote collaborations
