The bok^E Project aims to create an initially standalone native mobile application (initially Android with options to create an iOS version). The domain/data models as well as the technical design have inherent capabilities that can be extended to have a cloud platform application for continued development and wider distribution in the future. It aims to be built for both for local and global use. We approached bok^E with the intention of it being continued beyond Space Apps Challenge.

This project is solving the Backyard Poultry Farmer challenge.

The bokE Project has roots in "bok, bok, bok" which is an onomatopoeia of a hen/chicken sound.

bok^3 has been transformed into bok^e, pronounced as "bowk."

While bokE Project will only produce a first in a series of working prototypes, it is inherently part of a larger roadmap for a product or solution that promotes awareness, management, and data analytical capabilities for renewing humanity's connection with the earth, its creatures, and our ecological connections.

We approached bok^E with the intention of it being continued beyond Space Apps Challenge. As such, we ensured that our gets done in time given doable scope for the Space Apps Challenge event, but at the same time, we thoroughly designed and engineered bok^E with a future road map in mind.

Segments of work on this, in the following functional effort layers:

  2. Tracking
