This project is solving the Smart Cities, Smart Climate challenge.
Smart Cities are a new challenge for a new world model: buildings, streets, public green, citizens connected together sharing both information and energies (material and immaterial). But it is more difficult to apply this model to old cities. Living in Rome we have to reach the same bright goals facing the reality of the "eternal city". We are planning a smart, low cost network of sensors able to control the variations of climate and pollution in the crowded city. It is also important to find out the way to benefit from the amount of data collected. This means to figure out applications able to help the infrastructure, environmental, healthcare management using what is already available in the daily reality. Here, in Rome, we are looking forward for a "Bright Future, Right Now!"
