We set out to attempt the spot the station challenge over the international space apps weekend but felt we had to do something different with the available ISS data. Rather than spotting the international space station from the surface of Earth we felt we could flip the perspectives. Instead the perspective would be from the ISS Cupola looking at your location here on Earth. Using Google Earth and Maps API, the Open.Notify API and recordings of the ISS sounds from Chris Hadfield's soundcloud.

This project is solving the Spot the Station challenge.

Description

A web and mobile app experience from the perspective of the ISS crew in the Cupola. Showcasing your current location on Earth. Utilising Google maps and Google Earth for the mapping, alongside the Open.Notify API for live ISS location data.
