Our Challenge is to create a mobile application for close monitoring of billing for electricity and changing habits for energy conservation : Case of Benin. We want to assist disadvantaged population and small business unit to check and follow their daily energy consumption and avoid by this way to pay hefty bills at the end of the month. If they could know the amount corresponding to the quantity of energy consumed already, they would pay more attention.
Our Strategy is based on the fact that West Africa people already use basic mobile phones. For this 2013 challenge, we choose to develop a mobile application for Nokia Phones (Most used in West Africa). Some features : Choose his client type: domestic or professional in the application settings for the first start - Enter the consumption index as frequently as he decided; - Ask for the mount of his consumption - Receive piece of advices about how to consume less and then how to save energy.
