The idea of off-the-grid living can then be extended, extending best practices to users that want to reduce their impact to the sustainable level, without needing to go totally off-grid.

Description

The project takes the idea of environmental impact calculator further - by creating a global network where users can store, share and edit their environmental impact profiles, and get environmental lifestyle advice tailored to their needs and preferences.

The idea of off-the-grid living can then be extended, extending best practices to users that want to reduce their impact to the sustainable level, without needing to go totally off-grid.

The user data generated can be used to generate infographics to show users how they are performing relative to the average in their community or their country, and even for global statistical reports, breaking down international environmental performance reports to a level of granularity not previously available.

This platform can be extended past a web app. The data API can respond to custom requests from any client, allowing mobile apps, games and other services to leverage the user information as well as global trends.
