This project is solving the In the Sky with Diamonds challenge.
Our project Space Jewelry, has 2 pieces, earrings and a necklace. The necklace is called "Diamond Piece" and the earrings "Orbit Earrings". The necklace depicts the 5 orbiting planets of the 55 Cancri system orbiting around the sun-like star 55 cancri a. The main stone in the center is a diamond-like crystal representing the allotrope of carbon, diamond, which is one of the main components of the carbon-rich 55 cancri e planet. The earrings are a cluster of crystals representing the 5 planets suspended from a piece of silver representing the orbit in which they travel around the star.
