This project is solving the Database of Near Earth Objects challenge.
Asteria in a web-based application that facilitates the registration and tracking of Near Earth Objects. This project focuses on the amateur observer being able to register sightings in a very simple, intuitive way. There will also be a mechanism by which other observers can confirm this observation, and rank observations based on importance or significance. The final component is a mobile-friendly website where public users can come and select a location and the application will list interesting or significant objects within their field of view, and show images and trajectory information for them.
