This project is solving the Renewable Energy Explorer challenge.

Our project aims to create a map of renewable energy in Europe and Italy. We're developping an app for smartphones, starting from the Google maps platform. Mission statement is collecting data about solar, geothermal and eolic energy, classified by areas. We made an interpolation of all the data we found, and with this data we'll be able to have a quick overview of the areas with the greatest energy potential on a map. At the moment, we have developped the project only for Europe and Italy, but our goal it's to extend the project and make it exploitable for the whole world and (why not?) for the whole solar system by acquiring data using a specific probe.
