This project is solving the Renewable Energy Explorer challenge.
We are planning to visualize the solar power, wind power and geothermal power data using two approaches. One is to visualize in Google earth using KML both on mobile, web and desktop. The other is to show it in a website using Maps API and overlaying the data related to solar, wind and geothermal energy sources.
We have found good solar power datasets for USA and Hawaii islands. We have a data set for wind power containing information about the different wind based energy companies across the world. We could not get our hands on Geothermal handsets. If you have datasets for geothermal power and would like to help out, please mail us @[email protected] :)
Oh, btw.. RENEXENER is a palindrome!! (Our Project name is also renewable :D )
