This project is solving the Tour of the Moon challenge.
This project will allow people to take a tour moon from anywhere in the world and encourage exploration. Users can explore real geographical spaces, driving a spaceship, board a lunar rover, experience a meteor shower, get information of geographical points of interest, share information in social networks and latitude-longitude information. We will design a 3D video game simulation, in first and third person, which can be played on HTML5, Android and as desktop application (Linux, Windows).
We want to promote the dissemination of knowledge of astronomy thinking a different strategy and entertaining. We want to install the application on several schools, we will use Touch TVs with Android TV to facilitate access to knowledge of students and promote the dissemination of the latest discoveries in space.
In our application the users can visit the Apollo landing sites 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17. They we can use lunar module, lunar vehicle and make travel as an astronaut for know terrain, terrain map with a great similarity actual geographical aspect.
Support iOs, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, HTML5 browser (explore, mozilla, chrome, safari), PS3, XBox Kinect, Wii, Android and Apple TV. Our solution uses less hardware, and features high integration with images and official data.
This simulation video game (Lunar TOUR) is developed from the ends of the earth, from the University of Frontera in Temuco region - Chile.
